MARTIN AND LAWRENCE PRESS is a small, independent publisher dedicated to providing quality fiction and non-fiction books of a historical nature. We are particularly focused on books set in New England and/or written by New England authors.
We have five titles coming out this fall. Our featured offering, by our
third-time author David S. Brody, is THE WRONG ABRAHAM. Two titles by
Richard Meibers are being re-issued as fresh offerings this year, one
fiction, STEAL AWAY HOME and one nonfiction, THE FITCHBURG WATCH. Also new
this fall are two very funny compilations, MEDICAL MALAPROPS, twenty-seven
years of misquoted medical phrases, by physician David Spiegelman; WATER IS
RISING IN THE CLASSROOM, teachers nightmares, by Eliot Lillien.
Martin and Lawrence Press is located in Groton, Massachusetts, in the heart of New England, an area of such high literary standard that it can boast of having more book readers per capita than anywhere else in the world.
MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION Martin and Lawrence Press does accept unsolicited query letters, but not manuscripts. We are interested in well-written fiction and historical non-fiction, with a particular interest in books set in New England and/or written by New England authors.
